Our Story
The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted us all, and the personal loss felt by many has been significant. Among areas of our communities left struggling in its wake are Fine Arts programs, Orchestras, Dance Companies, Theatre and Choral Performance groups, and more, each lacking the ability to meet together and offer “Live” performances. As musicians ourselves, we began asking — How do we continue performing together? How can we reach audiences without an auditorium? How could we continue to provide people respite through music? It is from these questions that Virtual Choir Solutions (VCS) came to be.
Originally, VCS was an all-volunteer endeavor to assist the Willamette Master Chorus (WMC) of Salem, Oregon. The goal was to fulfill the choir’s promise to its audience of a full four-concert season by creating a virtual performance experience that people could watch from the comfort of their own homes.
And by a true miracle, we did it.
It was towards the end of producing the fourth fully virtual concert that we recognized we had created something special — a way to help other groups, bands, soloists, artists, dancers, and performers alike reach their audiences and connect with the rest of the world. Our mission remains the same to this day as we continue working hard to expand the world’s stage for the fine arts.
